Media-education and Morale in the Cyberspace: Convergence or a Network Swamping
A result of the development of media-education, media-literacy helps one to vigorously capitalize on opportunities rendered by the information space, including TV, radio, video, motion pictures, mass media, the Internet, in his professional, social and private life. Once practically all the means of communication ave migrated to the digital sphere, media-education has emerged as a real priority for every one through his lifetime in the condition of information and the knowledge-based society.
It is imperative to answer the question as to whether Russia needs its own ethics code for the information society, to ensure a uniform interpretation and identification of directions of communities’ operations in the area of IT, education, culture, communication, youth policy, confessional activities, etc. on promoting the Russians’ morale in the conditions of information society.
Once this and other related questions are cleared, it is necessary to start working, on an intersectoral and interdepartmental levels, on convergence of the said vectors to ensure a synergy effect with respect to the further advancement of information society, otherwise the Russian/Russian-language segment of the cyberspace will keep developing the Internet as an information moor, which would contain socially and economically disorienting, noxious, and partly, illicit information. .
