Global Internet Security – Operational and policy solutions in combating cybercrime – a practical guide to the challenges in fighting cybercrime in Europe.

When it comes to cybercrime, the bad guys are well ahead of the law-makers. Laws do not keep up with the vast and emerging problem of online crime. The European Union is putting its efforts in strengthening the policies and procedures in order to catch the criminals, but reality is that cybercrime increasingly threatening the data protection of citizens, industry and government services. National efforts are not sufficient to address the problem and cooperation is needed on all levels internally and cross the border. Introduction to the fraudsters mind set and biggest challenges in the investigation of cybercrime and how will the Council’s of the European Union Action Plan and strategy in combating cybercrime improve the process.
